The short version
- ECPro stores the business data you put into it: your clients, units, jobs, prices, invoices and photos. It exists so you can run your cleaning business, and we use it for nothing else.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t show ads.
- Your photos are private. They go only to the people you send a report or invoice to.
- Payments go through Apple. We never see your card number.
- You can delete your account yourself in the app, under Account › Delete account. For a copy of your data, email support@ecproapp.com.
1. Who we are
ECPro (“ECPro”, “we”, “us”) makes the ECPro app for iPhone and the website at ecproapp.com (together, the “Service”). ECPro is field service software for cleaning crews who work apartment communities. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
If you use ECPro on behalf of a cleaning business, that business is our customer and this policy applies to the information its account holds. If you are a property manager or other recipient of an invoice or report sent through ECPro, see section 5.
2. What we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address and a password, which is stored only in a protected (hashed) form. If you take a team plan, we also collect the names and email addresses of the cleaners you invite.
Business data you enter
ECPro stores what you put into it so it can do its job: the properties and clients you work for, their contact details, units, services and prices, jobs and their dates, invoices and payment status, and the daily and monthly reports the app builds from them. Some of this is information about other people, such as a property manager’s name and email address. You are responsible for having the right to enter it.
Photos
Photos you take or attach in ECPro are stored with the job they belong to, together with the time they were taken. ECPro never asks for your location; a photo you pick from your library may still carry the location your camera recorded when you took it. Photos are stored privately in your account. They are never published to a public link.
Payment information
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we receive only your plan and its status (your purchase history). We never receive your card number.
Device and diagnostic information
ECPro contains no analytics or usage-tracking software, so we do not know which screens you use. The only diagnostic information we receive is crash reports, and only if you have chosen to share them with app developers in your iPhone settings (Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements). Those reports include the device model, iOS version and app version, never the contents of your jobs or photos.
Support
If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you and refer back to it.
What we don’t collect
Face ID and Touch ID are handled entirely by your iPhone. ECPro only learns whether the unlock succeeded; it never receives your biometric data. We do not use advertising identifiers or tracking across other companies’ apps and websites.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: store and sync your data between your devices and your team, build invoices and reports, and deliver them to the recipients you choose.
- To run your account: sign you in, verify your subscription, and send you service messages such as receipts, security notices and changes to these terms.
- To support you: answer your questions and investigate problems you report.
- To keep ECPro reliable and secure: diagnose crashes and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations: keep the records the law requires of us and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use the contents of your jobs, invoices or photos for advertising or to train artificial intelligence models.
4. The AI assistant
ECPro can be connected to an AI assistant you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT, through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This feature is off until you connect it. When you ask a connected assistant a question, the assistant requests the relevant parts of your ECPro data (for example, which invoices are unpaid) and ECPro returns only data from your own account. What the assistant then does with that data, including whether it keeps a copy of the conversation, is governed by the assistant provider’s own privacy policy, not this one. You can disconnect an assistant at any time, and we recommend reading the provider’s policy before you connect.
5. Who can see your information
- People you send things to. When you send an invoice or report, its contents, including any photos you included, go to the email addresses you chose. Once sent, those recipients have their own copy.
- Your team. On a team plan, the account owner sees every unit, photo and time stamp. Cleaners see the jobs assigned to them and the photos they add. The owner controls who is on the team.
- Service providers. We use a small number of companies to run ECPro: Supabase for sign-in, the database and private photo storage; Render for the server behind the optional AI assistant connection; and Apple for the App Store, payments and crash reports. They process information only to provide those services to us and are bound by contracts that restrict any other use. Invoices and reports you email are sent from the Mail app on your iPhone, from your own email account; ECPro has no email service of its own and does not see those messages.
- AI assistants you connect, as described in section 4.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety and property of ECPro, our users or others.
- A change of ownership. If ECPro is acquired or merges with another company, your information may transfer as part of that deal. We would tell you before your information became subject to a different privacy policy.
If you are a property manager or other recipient of an invoice or report, ECPro processes your name and email address on behalf of the cleaning business that sent it. Contact that business about its records. You can also contact us and we will help where we can.
6. Where your data lives and how we protect it
Your data is stored with cloud hosting providers in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit between your iPhone and our servers and encrypted at rest in storage. Access inside ECPro is limited to the people who need it to run the Service and support you. Sent invoices are locked so that neither you nor we can quietly change a copy that a property manager has received.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is open, because that history is the point of the Service. If you delete your account, your data is deleted promptly, and in any case within 30 days, except for copies in routine backups, which expire on their own schedule, and records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons. Diagnostic information is kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.
8. Your choices and rights
- See and edit. Nearly everything ECPro holds about you is visible and editable in the app.
- Export. Email us and we will send you a copy of your data in a common format.
- Delete. In the app, open Account › Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your clients, jobs, invoices, reports, photos and any team logins, with no waiting period. If you would rather we do it, email support@ecproapp.com from the address on your account.
- Photo permissions. You control ECPro’s access to your camera and photo library in iOS Settings. Turning them off limits what the app can do but does not affect data already stored.
- Emails. We send service messages about your account. We do not send marketing email without your consent, and any marketing email includes a way to opt out.
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to receive a portable copy of it, and to complain to a data protection authority. We honor those rights for everyone, wherever you are. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws can exercise their rights, including the right to know and the right to delete, by emailing us. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their rights.
9. Children
ECPro is a business tool and is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to open an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially reduces your rights or changes what we collect, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
11. Contact
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy go to support@ecproapp.com. We aim to answer within a few business days.
